CARDAMOM HELPS IN DIGESTIONS

ELETTARIA CARDAMOMUM MATON.


The popular Cardamom is a tropical perennial plant. The stem is erect, grows up to 1 to 3 metres high. The leaves which resemble canna leaves are lanceolate and dark green in colour. The fruit are ovoid or oblong, three-celled capsules, each holding up to 19 tiny seeds.

​​Medicinal use:
  • For digestion, discomfort or pain in the abdomen.
  • The removal of gas in the stomach and intestines.
  • Stimulates appetite.
  • To strengthen and give tone to the stomach.
  • Helps in digestion.
How to use:
  • The seeds of the cardamom are chewed or infusion prepared for indigestion, discomfort or pain in the abdomen and also for the removal of gas in the stomach and intestines.
  • The seeds help in promoting digestion and check griping pain in the abdomen and intestines.
Parts used:
The seeds are to be chewed or used by infusion.

Dose:
20 grams for 1 litre of water. Use 3 or 4 cups daily.
