LEUCAS ASPERA SPRENG

Leucas is a small, hairy, square stemmed, annual herb found in open fields and waste lands. The leaves of the plant are ovate-lanceolate, lobed, thin and hairy with a tapering base. The bilabiate flowers are stalkless and found mostly at the terminal end of the plant.



Medicinal use:
  • As a laxative, anthelmintic or for the expulsion of worms from the body, energy producers, for bronchitis, jaundice, inflammations, asthma, indigestion, discomfort or pain and paralysis.
  • For fever.
  • Scabies.
  • Coughs and colds.

How to use:
  • The decoction of the cleaned plant is used as a laxative, anthelmintic or for the expulsion of worms from the body, energy producer, for bronchitis, jaundice, inflammations, asthma, indigestion, discomfort or pain and paralysis.
  • The infusion of the leaves is used for fever.
  • The fresh juice of the plant is applied externally for the cure of scabies.The flowers are administered in the form of a syrup as a domestic remedy for coughs and colds.
