11 MEDICINAL USE OF GARDEN MINT


MENTHA SPICATA LINN.

Mint is a herb known everywhere and is mostly cultivated, but also found growing wild in moist soil in some places. It is a prostate, aromatic herb growing about 30 cm high. It is commonly cultivated for use as a spice and for medicinal purposes.

Medicinal use:
  • Prevents or cures spasms.

  • Cooling effect from external heat.
  • Reduces itching of the skin.
